Relaxation

I always like to spend my free time with friends, family or my boyfriend, but on those few occasions that no one is around my favorite thing to do is reading a book or some magazines.

Heels in the sand

An advantage of living on the coast : when the weather suddenly gets a little better I can go for a walk on the beach... Disadvantage of doing that before going to a musical : walking in the sand with heels is not that comfortable.

New discovery

                                                     Clinique moisture surge, tinted moisturizer

A few weeks ago I got a sample of this product and because the foundation I've always used before seemed to suddenly make my skin greasy, I decided to try it. I don't like it when it's too obvious you are wearing make-up, so this tinted moisturizer was perfect for me. It's very easy to apply and the result looks so natural.
And most importantly... it doesn't cause spots on my face :D

Clinique is more expensive than the make-up I usually wear ( this was around 24 euros ) , but the products last long, so for me it is worth the investment, but ofcourse that really depends on your skin.

I like it bright and I like it green

This photo is a bit blurry , but I like the fact that my shirt has almost exactly the same color as the grass in the background. I got this top from my grandma, bright green is her favorite color.

I'm totally in love with the Tom Ford cateye sunglasses, but these here can be a good alternative untill I manage to buy my dreampair.

finally a weekend off and therefore some time to spend on my newest addiction... blogging. When you think about it, it's a little strange enjoying looking at the outfits of random people and getting to know a little about their lives eventhough you will probably never even meet them in real life , but I guess that this really is part of our culture nowadays. And why not share the things that make us happy ?

Thanks to Lieselot for the great dinner !

A few days ago my friend and blogger Lieselot ( http://www.lieselotbxl.wordpress.com/) invited I. and me for a dinner at her place. I had no clue if she was a good cook , but now I can say she really is. Although it's not very hard to be, when comparing to me. We started with some grapefruit wine ( such a good discovery) , then gambas and smoked salmon and as our main course we had pasta with fish. It really is obvious that we're from the coast. As dessert we baked a moeulleux , one of my favorites, but I had to leave while it was still in the oven, so disappointing. Will try it again soon !

Before I leave to work I just wanted to show you the newest arrival in my jewelry box :  Marc by Marc Jacobs earstuds. You might have noticed that I almost never wear big earrings and that I prefer gold over silver , so these small shiny studs were perfect for me . Any "jewelry' brands you would recommend to me ?

First day of work

Today I started my summerjob.I really like it... BUT I have to wear this ridiculous, boring, dark blue poloshirt to sit behind my desk( grrrrrrr) which means my daily outfits will be limited to pants and shirts the coming month.  I'm so convinced I could come up with a much better work outfit than that. But well, the boss decides. Here a photo taken after I changed back to my own clothes. As you can probably guess, you won't be seeing me walking around town in my giant polo. Any advice on how to be creative with work-wear ?

A day in Lille

I love going to Lille for a day. Even though it's only 45 minutes from where I live, it always feels like going on a short holiday because the city is in the north of France and I get to speak another language, eat some different foods and go shopping at the big French departmentstores.

If I were a rich girl ...

On rainy days like these I like to sit on my couch with a cup of coffee and some cookies and read lots of fashionmagazines. To be stylish I should actually say coffee and MACARONS, because these little sugarbombs took over fashionworld. Unfortunately I can't get any good ones here in my town, but tomorrow I'm going to France..Macarons, here I come !

Let's get back to fashionmagazines... The beautiful images of  these luxurious goods always make me fantasize about all the things I would buy if I were rich. Even though my wishlist would probably be longer than the text of an actual magazine , I decided today to pick out a few items that are my personal must-buy classics when money isn't an issue. ( a girl is allowed to dream, right ? ) I must say that these were the pieces that came up first and when thinking it over I would probably have many others to add to the list, so I'm very curious to hear what would be your must-buy classics.

1. Cartier Rings : you can mix gold and silver, so it matches everything.

2. Chanel bag : doesn't every girl want one

3.Chanel jacket : Can make every outfit more sophisticated.

4. Hermès belt : perfect mix of rock and chic

5. Hermès Birkin bag : big bags are so practical

6. Herve Leger dress : gives you amazing curves, very glamourous

7. Rolex watch : again gold and silver - something for your children to inherit

8. Tom Ford sunglasses ( cateyes) : so feminine

9. Tory Burch flats : can be as elegant and heels and much more comfortable

10. LV weekendbag : packing light in style

11. Dior red lipstick : make up must-have

12. Balenciaga clutch : great leathergoods in every color

13. Louboutin heels : dress to impress

14. Burberry trench : can protect you from the rain and never goes out of style

My conclusion :  I seem to have a thing for the traditional french brands. But I must admit that when I think of elegance I imagine a "Parisienne".  I also noticed all items are beige, black or red.. neutral classic colors or maybe a bit boring ? Some of these items, like the watch or the Hermès bag I would consider as investments.

Something to celebrate

My boyfriend and I both love good food, so our 8 month anniversary ( usually we don't really celebrate things like that) was the perfect excuse to go out for dinner in one of my favorite restorants : Agua del Mar in Oostende.

Sky and Sand

I've always considered myself a city person, but on sunny days like today I'm so happy living in my little town on the coast. This morning ( or actually noon) I woke up and noticed the weather was very good, so my boyfriend and I spontaneously decided to go to the beach for a few hours. So relaxing and definately the most fun place to tan and read. For those of you who aren't close to the beach right now, here a few photos :

Flower garden

In my previous posts you probably noticed that I love colors and I love flowers, so ofcourse I was immediately in love with this colorful flower shirt when I saw it at Sfera in Sevilla.
Today I went to visit my grandparents, their garden was the perfect background for these photos.

My idea of babysitting

Yesterday evening I had to "babysit" my little sister. (although looking after a 13 years old teenager probably can't be called babysitting anymore) I didn't really feel like watching a movie and I wanted to catch up with my friend ( and blogger !!! lieselotbxl.wordpress.com) Lieselot, so we decided to meet up at the Mondo hotel and bake some muffins. I probably haven't mentioned this, but I'm a terrible cook. My skills are limited to cooking pasta and preparing salads. Luckily, baking muffins is very simple when you have a good oven and more importantly an experienced baker. So the cakes turned out quite well. ( the proof: we all ate a few of them and non of us got sick)  Here is the result :
