It's over ..summer overview part 1

Summer overview... that means that ( atleast for me ) summer is really over. Before I say goodbye to my summer stuff and start showing you my fall outfits, a little overview.

Here part 1 of the outfits I posted since I started this blog last June..

Ancient art Museum + Modern design Bar

Goodmorning everyone ! 

On our third day in Lisboa we went to the National Museum of Ancient Art.

Not the best museum I've been to, but with a fun variety of art, going from ancient masterpieces to modern design chairs.

After our early morning visit, I really felt like a cappucino and luckily I wasn't the only one, so we went to the bar next to the museum : LE CHAT... It definately wasn't the average museum cafe.

Beautiful Belém

On the fifth day of our trip we travelled to Lisboa where we spend four days in a cute little apartment close to the Parliament. I have lots of photos, but I'll start by showing you my favorite part of Portugal's capital city. Suprisingly it is not the city centre, but the area called Belém. Take a look at these pictures taken by my friends T.D. and B.F. , hard to imagine anyone not liking Belém. 

 My outfit : Zara top & skirt, Forever 21 necklace, Longchamp bag and Armani sunglasses.

 We started with a visit to the old monastry, love the architecture.

BOTTLES

Today I was at Habitat ( love their furniture and decoration) and I saw one of the saleswomen put out these bags with the 2012 ( a bit early ) Evian bottles, designed by Courrèges.

No clue who it was ( google : french designer who  "invented " the mini-skirt ), but I love the combination of white and pink. So I went home with a new vase to match my white furniture.

Shopping in Porto

Just got back from a shopping day in Antwerp, I think I'm all set for fall and even winter now.

But I'll tell you more about that later...first 2 shop suggestions in Porto :

I was very suprised there was a Marc by Marc Jacobs in Porto, didn't expect any brands to have their own store ( this was probably the only one I discovered). The shop is very small and only had a small part of the collection, but they did have some great handbags.

Discovering Porto

Finally got all the photos , so get ready for a week full of photoposts about my trip to Portugal...

I decided to make my travel-diary as chronological  as possible, so I'll start by showing you the city where we spend the first 3 days : PORTO 

When looking over the fact that most buildings and streets could really use some renovations, Porto is an incredibly charming town.

  I was wearing a Zara top and Zara shorts. A very simple outfit because of the high temperature.

Missoni dilemma

When seeing this : 

 I would seriously start doubting wether to buy a bunch of pillows or a knitted scarf. Usually I would always go for a piece of clothing rather than decoration. But I love love love the Missoni home collection. It's hard to imagine being in a bad mood when living in a place full of colourful items like these.

Downtown Lounge

On our first night in Porto we discovered this modern bar in the middle of the city centre.

I loved it : high ceilings, white walls, lots of different couches, the view over the beautiful square,good music cheap cocktails.

( 4.5 euros for a delicious mojito, here in Belgium you would  pay 10 euros in a place like this)

Pastéis de Belém

Thank you for suggesting me these little cakes ! We bought them in the original bakery in Belém ( which is a part of Lisboa that I'll tell you about in of my next posts) and then ate them in one of the parks with some cinnamon and powder sugar, DELICIOUS !  (for the belgians : they look like "rijsttaartjes", but they aren't) 

If you ever go to Portugal, definately try them !

Souvenir

I'm back from my trip ! We went from Brussels to Porto, Porto to Coimbra, Coimbra to Lisboa , Lisboa to Faro and then back to Brussels... so you can imagine already how much I have to tell and show you. Unfortunately, I didn't receive the photos yet, so today I'll just show you one of the "souvenirs" I bought in Lisboa ( MANGO)  :  a studded leather leopard wallet... Leopard and studs together, you either hate it

 ( my mom) or love it ( me )...What do you think ?

Holiday make-up

In a few hours I'm leaving to PORTUGAL ! I'm very excited to get to know the country.

Because we'll be travelling around, you probably won't be hearing from me in the next 10 days, 

but ofcourse you'll get a full report of all my outfits and the lovely places we visited once I'm back home. 

And I'll continue replying to all your nice comments when I'm back aswell.

Ofcourse I have the same problem again, as when I went to Sevilla : 

Help, I can't pack !

But I did manage to fit my make-up "must-takes" in a little bag : 

Bag : H&M

Perfume : Oh, Lola - Marc Jacobs

Bronzer + Blush : MAC 

Eyeshadow : Bourgeois (beige)

Eyecream : Benefit 

Eyeliner : H&M (brown)

Lipstick : Dior addict ( bright red) 

Tinted Moisturizer : Clinique 

That should be enough for the coming days :)

Grey mouse

In general I don't really like grey clothing, I think of it as such an unflattering color. But I made an exception for this top and decided to wear it with my favorite red pants, just to make sure it's not too boring. 

For accesories on the other hand I really do like grey ( or silver ), because it is so easy to match and suitable for both winter and summer. What do you think ?

No trouble in finding my bracelets anymore

BEFORE : bracelets in my room, in my bathroom, on my nighttable, in my handbags,...

NOW : all my bracelets in a pretty box ( bought in Habitat) 

I'm thinking of buying another one for my necklaces, lipsticks,... So practical and I personally think the box looks quite nice. Any other advice on organizing accesories and beauty items ?

Last day of summer

Yesterday, I spend the perfect " end of summer" day with my friend and blogger, L. We had breakfast on the train, did some shopping ( to our surprise the new Forever 21 was open already, wow, it's huge !) and ended our day in " Cocktails at nine". 

Actually, this wasn't our last day of holidays at all, we're still free untill the end of september. But pretending it was, was definately fun. 

1. Shoppingcenter " feestpaleis" Antwerp - I like it so much I want to get married there 

2. My outfit for the day : needed an occasion to wear my zara denimshirt again, unfortunately I was frowning on the photo ( skirt : zara, wristcuff : Marc by Marc Jacobs, scarf : H&M)

Music please...

A topic I haven't written about is Music. I can't live without it, but at the same time it doesn't really interest me. 

For me music is purely entertainment and if it either touches me, makes me want to dance or makes me sing along I like it.
