Bye bye 2011

Just wanted to wish all of you a great New Year's Eve with bubbles, fireworks, a nice meal, but most importantly your favorite people... I only started blogging recently, so I can't really give you a big outfit or event overview yet, but  hopefully I will be able to give you one by next year.

If I'd be a guy I probably wouldn't fall for a girl like Scarlett Johansson, although I think she's a great actress. But I do think she looks stunning on these photos. Tim Walker, the photographer, is one of my favorites, just type in his name on Google and you'll be impressed.

Most of you will probably have seen these photos already, they are part of the Moët & Chandon holiday 2011 campaign, but I wanted to share them with you anyway because I think it's a beautiful  campaign and Champagne is a good way to get in a mood to celebrate. Tomorrow is the last day of 2011 !

Today I'm wearing...a turtleneck

A casual and comfortable outfit  for studying and a quick trip to town to order cake for New Years Eve.

SNEAKERS

I personally wouldn't have expected this, but the new IT-shoes at the moment are...SNEAKERS. Ofcourse not just any sneakers, I think even my boyfriend would frown if he heard Nike's were fashionable again, but Isabel Marant's Willow High Top sneakers. Within this week 2 of my favorite bloggers bought them, Beyonce wore them in her videoclip and they seem to be sold out everywhere...I would consider that the sign of a trend.

I noticed ASH has a pair of very similar ones, much cheaper ofcourse and personally I think I even like them better. To be really honest , the famous sneakers aren't really my cup of tea.  But after seeing Miranda Kerr wearing them, I do kinda see the charm. On the other hand, she can probably wear anything and look good. So, tell me... are you for or not ? and  what about the ASH ones ?

Dresses

My cousin and I posing with our Christmas Eve dresses. When we were little we'd both love to dress up with our grandmothers clothes ( we have a stylish grandma). Now we can dress up and have a little photoshoot ((in the basement) with our own party outfits. Although I must say that when we were posing together I kinda felt like I was 12 years old again, but hey, it's fun. I love the contrast of my dark hair and bright dress with her blonde hair and black dress. How do you feel about photoshoots with your friends ? And how do you like the dresses ?

Today I'm wearing ...a classic blue skirt

Didn't post any outfits for too long, so here a quick shot of what I was wearing yesterday. I have a bad cold, so I didn't really feel like being on the photo completely, so therefore  half a face. Will definately try to get some better ( and full face) shots of my Christmas outfits. Have you decided already what you'll wear ? I have a few options ready but I can't choose, might take some photos tomorrow so you can help me.

Happy birthday to my sister ! make-up !

My little sister, who turned 14 today, is a big make-up fan, so therefore a quick make- up post ! Happy birthday, A. ! 

I already did a post like this a few months ago ( see HERE ), but in winter I use different products than in summer. Two things you should know is that I'm very pale, and that I like my make-up to look quite natural.

Just booked : Marrakech

I just booked a trip to Marrakech with my boyfriend ! 

I found out I have 3 weeks off after my exams in January, a great opportunity to leave Belgium and see some more of the world. I've been wanting to go to Morocco for quite a while but somehow other destinations always came first. Usually my trips are limited to Europe, with a big focus on shopping and museums and this time I wanted to try something new( I think my boyfriend will be happy about the no-shopping part). And I suppose the Moroccan culture will definately be able to suprise me.

Versace for H&M : Cruise collection

JANUARY 19th  the Versace for H&M cruise collection will be for sale ONLINE ONLY. 

Eventhough it's still really not my style, I think I like it better than the previous collection.

Today I'm wearing ...a colourful scarf

A quick shot of the outfit I was wearing saturday. I'm pretty addicted to my burgduny pants ( see here,here and here). Which of these 4 looks is your favorite ? Curious to know. 

 As you can see, I usually wear these pants with black or white, but this time I decided to mix some colors and prints. Personally, I think the leopard print on the blazer is too much, but when I roll the sleeves down, the blazer looks too big. 

The scarf is from Kate & Jules, a Belgian accesories brand. I just had a look at their website and I really like this one aswell. ( mine is from an older collection)

News : Affordable Karl ?

I remember hearing months ago that Karl Lagerfeld was planning  to design an affordable women's wear collection. But now, thanks to the Vogue newsletter, I just saw a first photo.   The new label, not so suprisingly, called KARL will be for sale on Net-a-Porter. com starting from January. Prices should start at 60 euros.

Judging on this photo and the designing skills of Mr. Lagerfeld I'm guessing I will like the collection. 

I'm just hoping that the 60 euro items won't be socks or something . It is a fact that "affordable" is hard to define.

Another handbag crush...

Wow, it seems as if I have a new handbagcrush every month. The good news is that I can actually afford this one ( with a little bit of saving).

I've always loved the Furla Candy bag, such a fun accesory  and a nice break from my plain black leather handbags. And now, in the Holiday 2011 collection,  I just discovered one I like even more than the usual ones. 

Sinterklaas

 Vrolijk Sinterklaas ! 

here some typical dutch Sinterklaas sweets and cookies... only thing missing, a photo of the delicious belgian chocolates  my mom gave me. ( I ate them all within 2 days )


In the Netherlands they celebrated Sinterklaas today, here in Belgium we have to wait untill tomorrow. Although I should add that here it's only an important holiday for young children, not really a life-long family tradition like in Holland. Too bad, because that means no gifts anymore either.

Today I'm wearing...electric blue

I couldn't really decide which photos to use, didn't really like any of them that much, so I decided to photohop them all together. I hate posing for photos, it makes me feel uncomfortable. I tried cutting my head off the photo, but according to my boyfriend that is ridiculous and  showing outfits when no one is wearing them, on a clothing hanger for example, doesn't look very good either, so I guess I don't really have a choice. 

How do you like it the most, with the jacket or with the necklace ?

New in : Glitterpolish

At work I wasn't allowed to wear any nailpolish, so now that my studentjob is over, I really had to get some new decoration for my nails.. After 2 months of nothing, some sparkles are well deserved so I picked out  a black shiny polish ( check out my previous post about that) and a glitter topcoat.
