Julie's house..cupcakes !

After several attempts, ( somehow I always planned to go there on the days
 it turnedout to be closed - monday and tuesday) I finally managed to go 
to Julie's house for coffee and home made cake. So many friends and even
 magazine articles had recommended this place to me and I just had to try it 
myself. To be honest with you, I kind of consider myself a cake expert. 
One of my favorite free time activities is to go out for coffee with my friends,
 my boyfriend, even my mom and grandma. And ofcourse I always order something
 sweet aswell. So I was very curious to see if this place was really as good as they say....

I ordered coffee ( that turned out to be from my favorite coffee roastery 
in Ghent " café D'Or) and a chocolate, vanilla cupcake. I hadn't eaten a cupcake
 since my trip to NY ( I'm more of a cake and brownies girl) but this one was
 really good.  I didn't manage to eat all the vanilla buttercream on top, but the 
big lunch we had before might have something to do with that. I also tasted 
the cheesecake my mom ordered and that was even more delicious.

I think the prices are about the same as in other cafés, so they don't seem 
to take advantage of their popularity. But I think it's probably best to
 reserve a table if you want to be sure to get a seat. 

So if you ever visit Ghent, this is the place to be for a girly coffee break. 

I still have a gifcard that I got for my birthday, so I can't wait to 
go back and spend it. I think I'll try a pancake breakfast next time.
