Kartell, a company that produces plastic car accesories, was founded in 1949 in Milano by Giulo Castelli. In the 60's he started creating household goods and furniture aswell. Now Kartell is one of the most famous Italian furniture labels, and I'm a big fan.
In a few months my dad, sister and I are moving to another appartment, so I've been thinking a lot about decoration. While surfing the web I came across so many photos of stylish livingrooms and offices with transparant chairs, so I decided to take a look at the Kartell website and see what else they have to offer. I'll still have to do some serious saving before I can buy my own " La Marie" or "Mademoiselle with Missoni fabric", designed by Philippe Starck, but here already a little collage of my favorite items.

ReplyDeleteTransparent furniture is so interesting - I guess I have in my head that if it looks like that it will be less expense (when compared to wood) I guess not, though!
