Stylish reading...famous fashionbooks

One of my resolutions for this summer is to read a few books..I still have the Steve Job's biography and two art books  lying around waiting to be read, but I would also like to get a few interesting fashion books. I selected a few famous ones and I would love to hear your opinions on them. And ofcourse other cool fashion/photography book suggestions are very welcome aswell. 

Moschino Pink Bouquet

Kendra Spears is the face of the new Moschino perfume : " Pink Bouquet". 

My thoughts when I saw this campaign photo : 

1) what a pretty, girly add

2 ) it does remind me a bit of Dior

3) the bottle does look a bit like Marc Jacob's Oh Lola perfume

Today I'm wearing...a white knit

These photos were taken last week when it wasn't that warm yet, before going to the cinema with my boyfriend. We went to see " De rouille et d'Os" , the new movie with Matthias Schoenaerts and Marion Cotillard : great acting and a very touching story. I'm quite curious to see some of the other films that were presented at Cannes aswell. 

Instagram recap 4 : polish, watches and flowers

This week I was at home to prepare for my exams and ofcourse this happens to be moment when "mother nature" finally decides to give us some sunshine. Studying AND enjoying the first warm days, quite a difficult combination ! I didn't have time to shoot outfit posts  ( and I forgot the battery charger of my camera at my place) but I did take lots of photos on Instagram... Here a few of my favorites. 

Statement necklaces or pieces of art ?

I don't think I need to tell you that statement necklaces and particulary the ones with neon are a big hype at the moment. It's probably difficult to find 100 bloggers that didn't buy that neon yellow H&M necklace. I'm one of those who didn't, not because I didn't like, but because by the time I saw it in stores so many people had it already. My plan was to get a similar necklace from a different store. But I have to admit that my mission for a bit more originality failed. I haven't found a single neon necklace I like that I can afford. So here a little collage of the beauties I found online : they are all way too expensive for me, but very pretty. If you have any suggestions of were I can find cool neon necklaces , please let me know.

Conclusion of this little overview : it is very difficult to wear spring looks when the weather isn't cooperating. Luckily, right now we finally have some sunshine, so my next overview should be much more colourful.

Today I'm wearing ...my sister's dress

A quick outfit shot taken after dinner at my boyfriend's place

This dress actually belongs to my sister, but she doesn't like it anymore, so I thought I'd give it a try myself. Somehow I don't buy a lot of blue items, but wearing this is a nice break from all my white/pink/orange/black outfits of the past weeks. I was, however, very dissapointed to see the dress was completely wrinkled after wearing it only a few hours.

I don't think I'm lying when I say all of us fashion bloggers/lovers love to dress up...
but I wouldn't be suprised if atleast half of us loves "dressing up" our homes
 (or our parents homes/ our bedrooms/...) aswell. So here a little post with some

 These photos were taken last weekend before I went out for dinner. 

I love the combination of these colors and materials : blue denim, off white

 lace and brown leather. I don't think these classics will ever go out of fashion, 

but ofcourse that's just my opinion. Would love to hear your what you think.

Today I'm wearing... a new Asos dress

You already had a little sneak peak in my previous post, but now you can see the full outfit. I wore this dress for a family event a few days ago. I love the material and the neon orange details. I really think this is one of those pieces you can wear with heels and a blazer for a more dressed up look and with a pair of flat sandals and a huge tote for a day at the coast.

I think I will do a lot of shopping at H&M this fall..beautiful colors ( inspired by Burberry Prorsum ? ) , a lot of leather and statement jewelery with huge pearls. 3 things I love.

My student room : details

In a few months I should get my bachelor diploma and while I do my master's degree I will live at home again. This means that I'll have to say goodbye to my little studentroom soon, so I thought I'd share some photos with you of the little things that made this room feel like a second home. 

Today I'm wearing...wedge sneakers and a trenchcoat

Ok, I'll admit it..I just had to try the new wedge sneakers trend  myself and when I finally found a pair under 100 euros I just had to get them. It feels kinda strange having sneakers on my feet  again , don't think I wore them since highschool , but I forgot how comfy they are, even with a " secret wedge". You probably won't see me wearing them all the time, but it's fun to try something new, curious to see how they will look with a skirt. 

Let's get tropical...

If I would have to choose my favorite trend this season I would probably say "floral prints". 

But it wouldn't suprise me if most of you have several floral print items in your closet already, so I made a little selection of items with a different kind of print : the tropical print. Don't these exotic flowers and palmtree leaves make you dream of a holiday abroad, relaxing in the sun ? 

Today I'm wearing... new summer boots

Hope all of you had a nice Mother's day ! I think it was the first warm day here 

in Belgium since March, so I couldn't resist putting on a dress and my new

 summer boots for a casual family dinner. 

Desk inspiration

Only two more weeks and the exams start again...This time I have a whole month of exams, so from now untill the end of June I'll spend most of my time studying( quite a depressing thought ). Somehow I'd like to imagine that it would be so much easier if I had one of these beautiful, well organized desks...

My boyfriend took these photos yesterday morning before I went to class. 
My blazer really needs some ironing and I really needed some more sleep... but the point of this post was to show you an example of the simple outfits I like to wear for going to university. Would love to know what you think of this look and what kind of clothing you wear for going to classes.

Today I wanted to talk about their third label, which is actually the denim line of their second one : TEXTILE Elizabeth & James.

Today I'm wearing... a boyfriend jeans

 A few weeks ago I saw this jeans at Zara and I thought it could be a nice "break" 

from all my skinny jeans. I don't know if they could really be called "boyfriend jeans"

, I might have taken them a size to small for that, but they definitely look more

 masculine than the pants I usually wear. I do realize they look best with heels, 

but I haven't had the chance to try that yet....So you can expect another

 outfit post with these jeans soon.

Just got back from a walk with my boyfriend, I didn't have my camera with me,

 but I did get 2 quick Instagram shots of my outfit. In the background you can see

Lipbalm dilemma's

 After having been my loyal protectant for over a  year my Elizabeth Arden lipbalm is 
now gone. I used it untill it was completely empty. Ofcourse I could just buy it again,
 but I wanted to get your opinion first on a few other brands aswell. Always fun
 to try something new. Of course I also use Labello, but I like to have an extra one 
to take with me in my bag. 

Julie's house..cupcakes !

After several attempts, ( somehow I always planned to go there on the days
 it turnedout to be closed - monday and tuesday) I finally managed to go 
to Julie's house for coffee and home made cake. So many friends and even
 magazine articles had recommended this place to me and I just had to try it 
myself. To be honest with you, I kind of consider myself a cake expert. 
One of my favorite free time activities is to go out for coffee with my friends,
 my boyfriend, even my mom and grandma. And ofcourse I always order something
 sweet aswell. So I was very curious to see if this place was really as good as they say....

Because I'm so happy with my new handbag, I had to take a quick outfit photo while wearing it...

Feather alert !

I was looking at the H&M new jewelry collection and I just couldn't ignore all the feathers. And after a quick " google" I noticed H&M isn't the only one who has a collection full of feathers. As someone who isn't really into birds, let's say I don't trust the fact they can fly and I can't , I don't think this trend really suits me. But who knows,.. having something tickly hanging from my ears or around my neck might grow on me.... How do you feel about this new " trend" ?
