Decoration inspiration : Dressing Tables

 Right now I can't think of a piece of furniture that is more feminine than this : an elegant dressing table. Those of you who follow me on Facebook or Instagram will know this already, but here on the blog I forgot to mention that my dad,sister and I moved to a new apartment a few days ago. I just finished unpacking the last boxes and I can't wait to start decorating my room. I still need a few pieces of furniture and a table like this ( with a pretty mirror) is definitely on my wishlist...but I might wait untill I get my own place.

I didn't have my camera with me today, but I couldn't wait to show you my new necklace so here some quick iphone pics. 3 x Chanel

It's is hard to say if I really love the products for what they are or if I'm simply attracted to them because of the beautiful packaging and the succesful marketing ... but I do know I want want want these 3 new Chanel beauties... The Magic of owning atleast a little piece of the huge French fashion empire seems hard to resist...

Purple & dark green :  my favorite colours for fall and the main colors of the H&M fall campaign for both the trend collection and the accesories. Mint & Lana del Rey : such a pretty combination. Chic peplum and a sporty cap : unexpected, but it seems to work.

Night out with my boyfriend

Now most of the tourists are heading home, it's our turn again to enjoy "living on the coast". Walking along the, almost empty, beach and having  cocktails at " The Terrace" is the perfect combination for a relaxing night with my boyfriend.

Help me pick a Zara Necklace ?

Zara has really expanded their range of accesories the past few seasons : sunglasses, clutches, hats,  lots of shoes, wallets and even perfume and jewelry.  The new fall collection includes so many beautiful statement necklaces, I really can't decide which one I like best. Next week my mom is going to Spain and I was thinking of asking her to bring me one. But the question is : which one ?  Help me please !? :) 

Amsterdam Instagram

A few days ago I went to Amsterdam with my friends,  W. ( who just started a cool blog ) and L.  Because we had all been in the Dutch Capital before, we allowed ourselves to skip the sightseeing. We started our  afternoon with lunch on the top floor of the Bijenkorf,a huge and beautiful department store. I love how their restaurant is decorated and the roof terrace was perfect for the sunny weather. Somehow I didn't expect the food to be very good ( bad experiences with buffets) but I was positively suprised. ( about 9 euros for a delicious shrimp wok ). After dessert we headed to H&M..finally I was able to get some items from the H&M trend and H&M home collection, both impossible to find here on the Belgian coast. I can't wait to show you what I bought... Thanks to W. I also discovered another cool Swedish store : Monki. ( I might do a post about it later on ) Once we had spend our budgets, we decided to go for a walk and look for a cute coffee place... We had such a fun girly day, can't wait to go on another daytrip like that !

Both of these photos were taken at the beginning of summer, when it was still quite cold and rainy...Early July...when I still believed summer holidays would help me get rid of the dark circles under my eyes from a lack of sleep... Now, mid-August, parties, barbecues, work, shopping, blogging, dinner dates and ... have still  kept me from  going to bed early and sleeping in. But tell me,  is beauty sleep really that important ? Putting my sunglasses on my nose, rather than on my head could be a simple solution ?

Today I'm wearing...Paul & Joe dress

Silk and a colourful print...my weakness. 

I bought this dress a few weeks ago, but saved it for my M's (see a post about her, here) birthdayparty. Unfortunately the quality of the photos is not that good, but I'll be sure to  take this one with me on my trip to Italy and get you some better photos.  Here I'm wearing it with a big necklace and heels, but I could definitely imagine wearing it with sandals and a denim jacket aswell. 

Two times Zoe Karssen

Lately, these Zoe Karssen shirts and sweaters have been quite a hype and although I think they are a bit pricy, I do think they can be the perfect starting point of a stylish casual outfit. Which of these two looks do you prefer? 

INSTA OUTFITS

Usually I can kinda guess already which outfit will get the most positive response, but this time I'm not sure...Both photos were taken ( with my iphone, sorry for the limited quality) before I went for afterwork drinks.  Lately, 'I've really been into simple, casual outfits : flat sandals,skinny jeans, a practical big bag and a blazer to make it look a little bit more "sophisticated". Sometimes I really feel like changing it up a little ( my way of dressing), but when I'm in a hurry in the morning, these are the items I go for. Maybe I should take a few necklaces and a colourful lipstick with me, so that after work I can brighten up my look a bit before meeting my friends ?

A few weeks ago I promised my friend M, who's always been very positive about my blog, that I would do a little post about her, but because I've been blogging from my boyfriends laptop I wasn't able to upload the photos. Now that I am back home, I thought I'd use the opportunity to ofcourse finally share to post and also to wish her a HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY ! She's hosting a big party tonight and I hope everyone will have a great night. I still have to pick an outfit myself and ofcourse I'm very curious about her dress as well. Although I'm convinced it will be very glamourous.

Bikerjackets are really a classic piece and a trend at the same time...

Sometimes I feel they are a bit too sporty for me, but at the same time I love them on other people... even worn with a very girly dress. Have you invested in one already ?

Each season Prada manages to create a pair of it-shoes. Shoes that your either hate or love, but will appear in every magazine and on hundreds of blogs simply because they really stand out. Here a few pairs I picked out from the fall campaign.. I wonder which model will be the "one" this year....

Antwerp with my boyfriend

 Last week I had a day off from work ( and it happened to be a very warm and sunny one, lucky me )  and my boyfriend and I spent the day in Antwerp. We started the day with lunch at caffee MAONA in the area around the MAS museum, called 't Eilandje.

TREASURES

As most other bloggers I love getting feedback on my posts... compliments make me smile, but constructive criticism can be very helpful as well. Yesterday I asked my friend A., who shares the blogging passion with me ( atleast the reading part, unfortunately she doesn't have one herself) if she had any suggestions on how to improve my blog and what kind of posts she likes best. She told me that apart from outfit posts, she always looks forward to these kind of "goodies" posts ( where people share their new buys, decoration, food  and other items they like ). So I decided to introduce a new category of posts to my blog : " TREASURES", a name that came to mind very quickly and really suits the subject. I'm very interested in hearing your opinions about this new section and of course general suggestions are always welcome as well.

This is definitely not the most recent trend, but it is one I'd love to follow myself. So don't be suprised if you see me hiding behind little blue mirrors soon... Would you wear them ? And which kind do you like best ?

The fickle weather is really making it difficult for me to pick an outfit each morning. On these photos it might look quite sunny, but 10  minutes earlier it was still pooring. Hence the strange combination of dress with boots, sunglasses with scarf and dark colors. I just feel so silly walking through the rain in a pastel summer dress and sandals, so I decided to get out some of my fall buys already... Although I'm really hoping I'll be able to put them back in  my closet soon for another few months. How do you make sure you're prepared for unpredictable weather conditions?

I should really launch a " polish of the month" section on this blog, because every season there are so many  collections I'm crazy about.
