Nye : the outfit

Early November I had challenged myself to find a NYE dress without sequins, metallic colors, a low open back or lace. I really wanted something different. And to my own suprise I did find a dress that was festive enough, simply by its eyecatching color and elegant shape. But then I spilled my sauce all over it and had to go home to change... 

But no worries, I didn't let it ruin my night and just came back to the party in the most cliché dress I could find : gold, sequins, glitters and so tight I could barely breath. 

I guess the very last day of 2012 just wasn't the right moment to be original ? But maybe 2013 will be ?

Oh and I should add that I actually did receive quite a few compliments on my glitter dress, so there's really nothing wrong with cliché. But I was super relieved when my grandma let me know she got out all the stains of my original dress. Atleast I'll be able to " shine in orange" some other time. Maybe my birthday in a few months ?
