3.1 Phillip Lim- fw13 & SS14- photos by Vogue
I tend to judge collections purely by their "prettiness" and how badly I want them...That might sound a little simplistic, but let's face it: I'm not a fashion expert, more an admirer. I don't know about innovative fabrics or the long history of the brands. I use what I have: my eyes and the vision of what I want to look like. This means that most of the time I'm discussing very wearable brands like Marc by Marc Jacobs or Isabel Marant. Of course, every season, there are a few shows that really impress me, although I know in advance I'll never wear anything like it.
More photos & text behind the break...A show I really wanted to do a blogpost about, was the Phillip Lim fall collection.
I loved the heavy, warm winterfabrics, the dark lips, the overknee leather boots, the beautiful mix of colours,... But before I got the chance to, the spring-summer collection was presented, and I was equally impressed with that one So now I decided to do a post about both... Personally I love seeing both the collections together, although they are very different, they do make a nice "whole", Mister Lim his designs do have a certain "signature" but I can't put my finger on what it is.Probably just the slightly masculine "coolness"??? Or just maybe the stunning bags?
